Artist statement

Hanne Karch's works reflect her lifelong fascination with forests.
She grew up on the edge of the Spessart and processes these intense experiences of nature in her
mostly large-format and expressive works.
Hanne Karch's forest landscapes are completely detached from reality; there is no plot and no
Narrative, they are timeless.
She develops her paintings out of the paint, the colours and forms take on a life of their own,
Whether they represent forest floor, stones or water surfaces is in the eye of the beholder.
Hanne Karch's works invite you to discover a new perspective on the forest and nature.
discover.
