Vernissage of the Carinthian artists

Dear friends of the Akademie für Malerei Berlin,

I cordially invite you to the vernissage of the exhibition with works by four scholarship holders of the Freie Akademie der Bildenden Künste Kärnten on Friday, 23 May at 6.30 pm in the ROOT Gallery.
The artists Noemi Karnel, Carolin Meinl, Bianca Pletzer and the artist Thomas Repolust will be present in person. On this evening, they will give an insight into their artistic practice and the works they created during their two-week stay in Berlin.

The exhibition shows very different artistic positions, ranging from poetic material experiments to powerful colour painting. The works reflect both personal approaches and the intense impressions that Berlin has left behind in a short space of time.
The works are characterised by curiosity, openness and the desire to enter into a dialogue with the space, environment and audience through art.
