\nBorn in Luckenwalde in 1969, lives and works in Halle\/Saale.
\nFrom 1994 to 1996, Budig studied vessel design under Prof Kittel at HKD Burg Giebichenstein and from 1996 to 2002 glass, painting and graphic art under Prof Triebsch. She was awarded the Halle Art Prize in 2018.
\nParticipation in major international exhibitions (selection): New York (USA, 9th Triennial for Form and Content, 2004), Strasbourg (F, S'tart, 2005), Artlecture at the Glas Art Society in St. Louis (USA, 2006), Bornholm (DK, European Glass Context, 2008), Prague (CZ, Contemporary European Glass Connections, 2009), Montpellier( F, exposition d'art contemporain faite d'argile de verre,2010), Munich (D, Alexander-Tutsek-Stiftung, In the name of love - contemporary glass, 2011), Haacht (B) (international Glass Art Biennale, 2018)
